The glorious Grand Teton Range is paralleled by the equally glorious Snake River. The river is rich and diverse community of animal life that includes elk, bear, beaver and deer. It winds its way parallel to the mountains and in this image becomes a counterpoint to the stark and rugged peaks behind. This image was made just as the sun was clearing the eastern hills, filling the grand range with wonderful orange light.
