The north and west sides of Olympic National Park are dense, wet rainforests. They are marked by streams to which many species of salmon return to spawn. The streams are dotted by falls that must be scaled by the salmon to reach their spawning sites. This is Sol Duc River Falls. Salmon that reach this point have traveled many, many miles upward from the Pacific. It's a peaceful, beautiful destination.
