The Ice Is Breaking Up

March 19, 2017

On the east coast the ice is thinking about breaking up, the coastline might lose it's cover of white and flower bulbs just might start to wake up. It's just a couple of short weeks before you get that warm day that says "I don't need a jacket". Here's a scene that could help you envision the very near future. It's the Bass Harbor Head lighthouse. The lighthouse was built of brick in 1858 on a stone foundation, stands 56 feet above mean high water. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
