It's Windy Out There
The crazy weather is bringing incredible wind conditions to The Bay Area; too much wind in many cases. This image was made at Fort Funston which is very popular with hang gliders. There the wind whips into the cliffs south of Ocean Beach which flip the air vertically, creating great lift for extended rides. Exciting as hang gliding may be it seems really dangerous. I'm a pilot of small aircraft but I don't think I could hang glide - life is short.
