Sunset comes earlier

The clocks have been moved back and sunset is arriving at 5pm in the desert. This quiet season leading up to the holidays is a perfect time to see the desert in repose with a series of images from Joshua Tree National Park. This is a bold set of granite outcroppings seen just before the sun slips below the horizon on the road leading to the North Entrance Station.
