Look Me Right In The Eye

September 13, 2015

While I was making the required landscape photographs of Grand Teton National Park I kept my eye out for the local wildlife.  The park has bear, elk, moose and bison.  It's exciting to get near these critters in the wild.  You can get pretty close to the bison as they seem accustomed to humans.  But, every park brochure warns you that many visitors have been gored by bison and bison have no problem catching you as they can run three times faster than humans.

All that was acutely on the front of my mind while I was inching closer to this guy to get a shot of him grazing.  My photo taking was going well until he looked up and stared my right in the eye.  Time to leave!
