It's 5:30 a.m.. The air is still.  Male Elk begin bellowing their rutting call, breaking the gentle quiet. The sun is beginning to peak over the horizon behind me and laying its first dabs of orange light on the tips of Grand Teton, Middle Teton and Mount Owen.  Within five minutes this truly breathtaking scene unfolds in front of me. My equipment has been set and I've been standing by the shore of the Snake River for an hour in hope and anticipation of this lightshow. Here it is: my favorite scene of my Grand Teton excursion.
