To be headed to Quidnet Beach on the eastern tip of Nantucket right now. This coming Tuesday the locals will be holding "See You Later Alligator" parties to celebrate the departure of the summer-only people. The alligator refers to the logo on the summer people's polo shirts.
This is the best time to be on the Cape Cod islands. The weather is balmy, the ocean is at its warmest and all the summer's services are still open. JetBlue flies there direct from JFK. Honey, call the airline.....
